Dr. Katrina Cordero grew up in New York and received an undergraduate dual degree in Biology and Neuroscience while in the Honors program at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also completed her residency training in emergency medicine at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. While at St. Michael's Medical Center, she was the chief resident.

Dr. Cordero has been with Emergency Medical Associates since 2010. She started with St. Joseph North when it opened in 2010. She is currently board certified in emergency medicine and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.

She is currently serving as the Medical Director for St. Joseph’s Hospital – North Emergency Department.
